Default McKnight Build - Cocobolo/Double Lutz

I thought I'd start a new thread for my McKnight build and post pictures instead of just posting a link to my photobucket account. Mary was able to send me a few pictures before she and Tim left for the Miami/Newport show. The Bulldog inlay was designed by Jimmi Wingert (Kathy's daughter) and it has become my favorite aesthetic appointment on the guitar. I think it came out fantastic. Anyways, I'm dying with anticipation of how the guitar is going to come out. These last couple of months are going to be killer.

I'll be updating this thread frequently when Tim resumes work on the guitar. Enjoy!!!

Cocobolo rosette with 4 sapwood segments to match the back

Basic shape of what the guitar will look like...inverted (I'm a righty)

Headstock inlay of my little guy, Driver the Doo!! (not yet inlayed)

Original photo Jimmi based her design on

Hi Asuh,

It looks like this guitar is going to be very special.
The bulldog inlay is beautiful. Jimmi Wingert does some amazing work!
Keep us posted as this beauty progresses.

Oh Boy, I love the cutaway look and the details of the inlay.....
I have thought of Jimmi for an inlay but not sure how much it would cost.
But the inlay sure looks good to me!!!

Where is that brachycephalic bling going to be situated? Very, very nice indeed. I love bulldogs and boxers.

I received a bunch of pictures this past week from Mary, but didn't have the chance to post them until now. The guitar is coming along quite nicely I must say.

I've received a bunch of progress pics from Mary this past week so I thought I'd post some of them here.

These pictures show Tim working hard at the bindings. I think the Florentine cutaway is turning out great.
